Will I Be Drug Tested With Care Assistant Job

Im about to start a new Job working with the elderly, Although I do not smoke any weed a lot of my friends do and im a little worried about drug tests as iv head even passive smoke can be detected. I have not been told that i will have to take a test but am wondering could they just spring one one me randomly. Many thanks for any advice

No. I've never had to be. You only get drugs tested when you work dangerous jobs. Railways/motorways etc.

Drug testing uis officially part of your terms and conditions if you haven;t been told or its in your contract then no you cant be tested

i doubt passive smoking will show a high enough reading to be detected, even if they do spring a drug test on you. I've had a drug test before just because I (can) use a forklift. I hadn't touched a drug in over 15 years, but I still panicked!
