My 16 year old daughter is interested in engineering as a career. Any suggestions how to go about it?

Take maths & sciences at A-Level, then apply to universities for engineering courses was my route.

If your daughter is less academically orientated, there are modern apprenticeships that can be entered into at 16 (after GCSEs) instead of further education, which would be another option into the same field.

There should be a careers guidance officer at her school / college who will be able to tell her about the options, and perhaps advise the best options for her.

why not do an apprenticeship, or a placement year at a large company, there are plenty around that will do it.  Maths and sciences are always a good route to go down
