Useless at interviews
I have the chance to go for another job with the same company. Its not a promotion, more a sideways move. The only problem is I get really nervous, even my appraisal normally turns me into a jibbering wreck. I am normally quite a confident person, not over confident. I can cope with normal everyday life, its just sitting in a room infront of three people. I deal with the public in person and on the phone and I am fine.My problem is that I have almost certainly decided not to apply for the job, but I don't want my employers thinking I can't be bothered. Should I have a word with my immediate boss and tell him my problem

See if you can have a 'wandering about the place' informal type interview - more of a chat but for longer where your interviewer can ask the questions in a more realistic environment. I did this - it was so easy and relaxing. I had to go through the formal interview as well which was awful. They gave me the job on the strength of my informal interview.
See if your boss will let you do it this way. I hope I've explained it OK.
