Bought a roll of roofing felt and lost the instructions.
Does the dull matt darker side go face down on the shed roof or the slightly lighter silvery-grey side go down?
Thanks

Over time, bitumen gradually hardens and becomes brittle, rather like plastic does if/when exposed to the sun. To reduce exposure of the bitumen to sunlight a layer of grit is often applied to the surface, a bit like providing shade. A layer of pigmented coating is similarly used. This is the side that should face up.

If you're seeing ads where you shouldn't, the Ed will want to know about it (so that the techies can see why it's happening).
Either use the 'Contact Us' link at the foot of this page or send an email to [email protected], letting him know which device you're using (e.g. Windows computer, Android tablet, iPhone, etc), which browser you're using (e.g. Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc) and, if relevant, whether you're viewing the 'full' version of AB or the 'mobile' version. Also provide a link to this thread.
Alternatively, just use that-which-shall-not-be-named-here to get rid of all the ads anyway ;-)
