What Are British Values?
9 Answers
We often hear mention of 'British values'. As defined by the Government, and now taught in our schools, they are:
- DEMOCRACY
-THE RULE OF LAW
-INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY, and
-RESPECT AND TOLERANCE OF THOSE WITH DIFFERENT FAITHS AND BELIEFS AND FOR THOSE WITHOUT FAITH
Do you think these are British values? What do British values mena? What British values would you add to the list, if any?

Which is fair enough as we all have different life experiences. Personally I think, as a Brit, I can hold conflicting values as I believe one can work out priorities depending on a situation. One value need not always be supreme. It's a changing variable world we cope with.
British values are indefinite depending on whom you are talking to among the nation, whether it is what they want them to look/sound like in public (appearance) or strictly in private, whether it is what others deduce from British behaviour, etc., etc. In short, they are indeterminate and change with time and circumstance to render any suggested lasting/defined collection irrelevant.
