an escort? though you would have to be very skilled at a certain something... ; )

seriously though, I would suggest some kind of nightschool or short course to bring yourself up to speed regarding modern workplace practice. the world is so competitive you need to buck up your prospects in the eyes of employers.

what have you been doing all this time?

also looks good on your CV

IT or literacy or book keeping, or something clerical - there is always scope for plumbers, carpenters etc, but you would need to learn.

the easiest would be taxi or chauffeur - if you can drive. you choose your own hours for a taxi and for a chauffeur you might get lucky and get a rich client.

if you have any musical skills you could always do gigs in your local pubs

you could try your hand at bank robbery, I've heard it's very lucrative, your time is your own, paid holidays and if you save wisely , a very good pension. The only down side is that if you are caught you may go down, but with the sentences given out today , you would probably only serve 3 months and that would be in an open prison; all in all , a very good career change I would say!!
