Hi, I volunteer in a local charity shop and we have been donated a massive amount of GCSE and Key Stage revision books and study guides. Not having children, I've no idea when's best time of year to put these out on the shop floor, and if the older ones are now obsolete. Any advice gratefully received

If they are maths or English they don't change, now or in a couple of weeks before school term starts.
Now is a good time, do a back to school window or corner of the shop floor and gather school related items together.

The older ones won't usually be more expensive even if out of print unless they are antique reference books.
As a former teacher, I'd suggest that there are probably two key times of the year to offer the volumes for sale. The first one is now, so that parents who realise that their kids are about to enter Year 10 (at the start of the two GCSE years) can buy them. The other is during the Easter holidays, so that the parents of panicking Year 11 students can get hold of them.
One need not panic to accept it's finally revision time :-)
