I am now an NVQ assessor for health and social care level 2 and working for a training company. I would advise you to get as much experience as possible within a wide variety of care groups and settings, from this different avenues will open up. You could become an assessor and then onto internal verifier, if you prefer not to be so 'hands-on' or should that be gloves on. Another route would be to go to college and study social work, there are so many possibilities within the care sector. Also there are always plenty of vacancies.
