I have a lady who works with me - she has been on maternity leave for nearly two years as she had one baby after another.

She has been back at work since July 12th 2022 working 6 hours per week.

She has now asked to go to a bank contract from the 5th September 2022.

My question is she has asked me if she will have to repay any of her maternity benefit that she she received from the Government.

Yes that’s what I meant - thank you for clarifying- does she have to repay her maternity pay - as we thought you had to work for so long before you leave or you are required to pay it back?
Hopefully this will answer your question

There is no requirement for you to have to repay any statutory maternity pay in the event that you resign from your employment during your maternity leave and/or a requirement for you to return to work for six weeks after the end of your maternity leave.
