In my job I've put in my availability I can work Monday to Saturday but they are asking if I can work one Sunday a month which I am not to sure about. What do I say?

Floko 17.43 is right, Abbey. When they have explained that, you know where you are and you say 'Yes'. Then you do the job and you stick with it for at least 6 months, preferably a year, so as to get a good work record.
From what you've said about the dog-walking etc., I think that you may find that you really like working in a care home and relating to the clients and will stick to that sort of area. Good luck with it. :)

You've got the job - congratulations Abbey. But now they've asked you if you'll work one Sunday a month although you specified you were available Monday to Saturday.
Hmmm, a bit tricky, you're fully entitled to say no under the circumstances but that will not get you off to a very good start. Since you're only "not sure" about it, how about just telling them you're more than willing to give it a try, and see how it goes.
