I think it is when someone who has never or hasn't worked for a long time, develop a fear of getting a job.

I Have just been watching a programme on TV saying that this long term unemployment disability is passed down the family, like father to son etc.
Especially in the UK.
.,...... I find that hard to believe..

There is no such specific thing as LTUD.

Do these work shy people get panic attacks, anxiety,etc, if they are offered employment and then declare ...Unemployment disability . Just asking Ok.

As folk can have a disability and be employed, they can look be unemployed and have a disability.

A disability is said to have long-term effects if it has lasted twelve month, is likely to last twelve month or for the rest of a person's life.

It is also said to be long-term if the advescondition has ended but is likely to re-occur

If an impairment ceases to have a substantial adverse effect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities, it is to be treated as continuing to have that effect if that effect is likely to recur.
