I believe Abbey mentioned having dyspraxia last year...which would go a long way to explain some of her difficulties

I still haven't told my mum the care home cut my days tho

Reaching for the Paracetamol ....  better you tell her than someone else does!

Question Author

No one is going to as no one at care home knows her

Abbey, it would be nice  if you joined in with all the nice people who give you answers.  Perhaps join in some chats so we could relate to you more and get to know you.

I don't understand why you're so afraid of your Mum, can you please explain

Question Author

What chats?

Like proper in-depth answers from you to the many questions you have been asked!

Does your mum think you've had too many jobs, Abbey?

Question Author

Yes

Jesus wept, apparently 🥱

Was better today but still prefer care home

Abbey, glad you felt today was better. Is there anyone who can help you to cope more easily with the'pressure'  at the care home? That seems to be the first job you've enjoyed, and it would be good if you were able to manage the full-time hours.

Yes but the care home don't think you have the ability to do the hours to their standards so it really doesn't matter what you prefer

I suggest you forget the care home for now abbeylee. It seems to they didn't want you (or maybe didn't appreciate you). Hopefully, if things go well in your significantly reduced hours, they may be more amenable to your taking on more hours at some point in the future. In the meantime, make sure Home Bargains appreciate you and keep you beyond the probation period.

Things may look a lot better in a couple of months. You may even be offered extra hours in both roles over Christmas.

Question Author

All I can do is make out to them that I don't like HB and I prefer them and would they consider giving my hours back

Question Author

Home bargains maybe but care could only offer what I already had

I wouldn't say you don't like Home Bargains. Say you enjoy both but particularly love the Care Home role.

Question Author

Or can I keep my hours there for as I'm struggling

I think the care home would only give you your hours back if they thought you could now cope with the pressure - could you? I think just saying you 'prefer' the care home isn't enough for an employer!
