I've been offered to go this warehouse job to start tomorrow but asked to start next Tuesday as I am in the care home on Friday and Monday. It is a full time position I'm just debating if I should go or not?

Have you had an interview with this warehouse or are they offering you a job without seeing you?Why don't you wait for the new care home to contact you re your interview. It is only 11.13

I give up

She was thinking of one, or ringing in with tonsilitis yesterday, and has now said "option is call sick if I go incase I don't like it "

Question Author

Yes that's right I haven't given a sick note.

I told the care home I need more hours said they haven't got any but a girl quit this week of got fired as she wasn't performing well.

Warehouse is a tricky one as they replaced me before failing my probation.

...and will she be at HB later today?  Too many things that don't add up.... again

Question Author

Yes later 2-6

Really ?  🤦‍♂️

Question Author

Yes I'm in later

Are you still "hating it " then ?

Question Author

Yes

It's the truth

Question Author

So I was doing 8-2 in care home but they cut them 8-11 I felt I had no choice but to get another job but I'm not really settling so now I'm looking for another close to home or full time one.

I am in HB later and day off tomorrow.

I don't know why , but  this is becoming a bit like a Whitehall farce with Brian Rix 🤣

Question Author

I only asked do I go to this job and give up the care home

Abbey, don't go to the job if you don't like that type of work, stay in the care home until you get a job with more hours which you would like, does that make sense?

Ask Mum..seriously

"Warehouse is a tricky one as they replaced me before failing my probation."

I get the impression you feel there was something underhand about it. More likely they knew you weren't up to the job and so started looking for a replacement before they finally confirmed they wouldn't be keeping you. Anyway, that's in the past; it's time to look forwards.

Question Author

Ellie may yes of course it does that what I want to do

Question Author

They replaced me with an ex employee

Whatever- nevertheless you weren't up to the warehouse job, in their eyes, so maybe a full time warehouse role may not work out again. I'm just suggesting you need to be realistic; don't seek to blame others if things don't work out.

Talk it through with your mum, she knows you best. She might reduce your rent for a bit- or may say it's time you stood on your own two feet and charge the full rate.
