Hello again!

With the first four answers correct in the main quiz, I was hoping to repeat my maximum score of 7 out of 7 from last week.  Alas, that was as far as it went though 🙄

So that's FOUR out of seven for me:

My score of just TWO out of five in the junior quiz was hardly impressive either - but at least it's double what I scored last week! 😊

3/7 and 3/5.

Both close to average for me.

I feel sure that all of the very best people here will have an aggregate score of 6 this week, Sandy 😊

Thanks for joining in!

4/7,4/5. Puss Puss very tired today, too much gallivanting and a scrap with the big Tom from up the road.Bailey has had the cone of shame removed again, is a happier lad now. Hope all is good with you and yours

Mmm. An amazing 6/7 for me in the adult quiz. Something wrong there, but the usual 1/5 in the kids.

Well done on being a near-perfect kid this week, Campbellking!

It sounds like Puss Puss is continuing to be a proper cat! 😺

I'm glad that Bailey seems to be finally well on the way to recovery.

My lot are still as bonkers as ever.   Moonbeam has given up sleeping in my bedroom in favour of sleeping on an empty shelf in the living room downstairs.  Tablo has given up sleeping in my bedroom in favour of sleeping on the edge of the bath - despite repeatedly falling off it, at roughly half-hourly intervals, throughout the night!  Chequers has returned to sleeping on the office chair in my bedroom, meaning that I've got to sit on the edge of my bed to type this!

Have a good week!

Well done indeed on being a near-perfect grown-up this week, 10CS!

Find a way to celebrate!

4/7 v 2/7

2/5 v 2/5

Moving on....

Enjoyed your post on Americanism, interesting how many of them we seem to have absorbed into British English...

Hope you and yours have had a good week   😊

4/7 and 3/5 for me.  Not my best but not my worst.

Evening Chris.

3/7

3/5

Hope this finds you well  ; ))

Question Author

Thanks for keeping me company in the kids' quiz, Haras2!

A lot of Americn expressions are actually old English anyway, so they're simply sending them back to us!  (e.g. Americans use words like 'gotten', which was originally a part of British English but which has simply fallen out of favour here.  So, in some ways, it's our transatlantic cousing who're using 'proper' English, rather than us!)

I hope that you'll be able to enjoy the weekend's sunshine (although I see that, unlike here in East Anglia, you'll have quite a stiff breeze to go along with it in south Wales) and that you'll have a good week to follow it.

I love sherbet - thanks Chris 😋

Like you, Chris, i got the first 4 correct, then two wrong answers before i guessed correctly with the Paula Radcliffe question - 5/7.

And a decent 4/5 in the kid's quiz.

By the way, just trealised i was AWOL last week. Don't know what happened there.

5/7 & 3/5

Hi Buen,

I kept voting for the only pop singer I'd heard of (Sabrina Carpenter) which didn't help.  :(

I ended up with even stevens ... 3/7 and 3/5.  Aggregate of 6.

Hope all is well with you and furry friends.

Tyke has to go under the surgeon's knife next Mon (17th) for teeth descale and possible extraction -- since he is 18 yrs old and has a worsening heart murmur this is rather worrying.  Fingers crossed everyone, please.

Have a lovely weekend all of you.  :)

5 and 4
