i wanna get it done. but know i wont want it forever. and i dont want to risk looking like i have a huge spot near my lip! [or something..]

I have/had my eyebrow pierced for a few years, and had to take it out, the holes are still there for this piercing and I can get my bar back in with a push after 3 years of not wearing it. All my piercings are keepers and not intentionally for fashion. I have had most of mine for well over 8 years and I still have all but that one in. It does seem pointless making a hole in your body if your not intending on keeping it. =D
I got a lip piercing about 8 years ago - I only had it in 3 months or so (I would unknowingly play with it after having a few drinks and I got paranoid thinking I would end up taking it out - plus, no one would hire me when I applied for a summer job!)
And I still have a mark in the place it was done. It looks like a pock mark - the same you would get with an old pimple. I don't think it took very long to heal after taking it out.
Its a cute piercing but takes some getting used to because it is near your mouth - get a tattoo instead!
