After O'levels..

Well the question i would really like an answer to is that if i don't want to go to a polytechnic after my o'levels, then what other choices do i have?(as in still wanting to study ; but study what?)besides college...are there any other courses which i can study which can then allow me to futher my studies for a degree?

distance learning, night school (very 80's), part time courses while employed, learning sponsored by you employers, the list goes on. Your main problem is that you don't appear to have a clue what you want to do.

What are you doing at the moment? GCSEs, A-levels. Access course? With all due respect, from the language in your post, it does sound as if you have been out of the education system a while, so you need some proper advice.

I think your first point of call may be the careers service (now called Connexions, I think) and speak to an advisor. They'll ask you about the type of work that you want to do and where you think your strengths lie, eg are you analytical, practical, academic, creative, etc.

Once you've sorted out what you're good at and the type of work you want to do, have a look at the learndirect www.learndirect.co.uk website where they give a description of jobs. These pages also explain the qualifications needed and how to go about getting them: on-the-job training, apprenticeships etc.

thank u very much for your ans...but no i know wad im tokin abt...i've not been away frm the education system for a very long time..i juz completed my studies for o'levels...if u DO NOT know wad that is...don bother answering...its of no use nor help...its neither 80s nor anything..its wad's going on at the moment..if ur juz living in ur own world u won't know wad tt is...expand ur knowledge...den u might help...n i DO KNOW wad i wanna do in life thank u very much...i've got my options n im doing wad i need to now...once again thank u..
