Hi
for a while now i've been thinking about a career in the police force and i know that to join up you need to have certain (G.C.S.E) qulifications.
My question is, in terms of qualifications i got a higher grade in every single subject except for gsce language in which i got a D. I want to know will this D prevent me from joining up? or can exceptions be made.

Formal academic qualifications are not essential.
All applicants must pass the initial recruitment test which covers basic education and observation skills.
However, you may find it beneficial to have at least two GCSE grade C qualifications
Your biggest problem at the moment is few forces are currently recruiting. Check out the website of the force you're considering joining. Most have a recruitment section with appropriate info.
