Depending on any internal investigations which need to be done, i.e. interviewing other witnesses if misconduct has been committed, an efficient company would probably try and complete the process within a week. If individual witnesses are working different shifts or on holiday it might take a little longer. Do you have a company handbook which gives full details of how grievance and disciplinary procedures are handled? You might find more details in there.
