Hi guys, I'm currently working in a local office but am planning on leaving soon. I've been for an interview at Canary Wharf and they have asked me back this week, so it's looking promising. I was just wondering about my notice period. I'm currently paid weekly, so does this mean I only need to give one weeks notice? I've not signed or even seen a contract telling me otherwise and only last month my boss let a fellow colleague go with only 4 days notice...

What do you reckon? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks guys!

It is usually one week's notice if you are paid weekly.

Any outstanding holiday can come off this - so if you are owed a week's holiday you leave straight away.

Some bosses won't hold you to working the notice period though.
