it would depend on the company policy. check your contract and if not ask a senior manager
Probably not from an office job but if you deal with the public you may be asked to cover it. Depends on what the tattoo is of and your company policy
just wear a small plaster on it during office hours if its a problem.

there is also a super strong skin covering foundation called dermablend if you need to cover it and have it last all day - it is used to cover scars, birthmarks etc.

or a watch?

i expect it depends on whether you have to deal with customers - it may not be what they want to show customers.
if its a private office, i doubt they will mind, as tattoos don't have as much stigma as they used to and are quite common.

(though if it is a skull or says KILL or something they may have a good case, lol)
I work in a professional office and there is a bird in the admin dept with a huge dragon or something on her back.

In hot weather she wears backless tops.

I was shocked when I 1st saw it.

i dont know what clients would think if they saw it.
you shoudlnt get fired unless the tattoo is offensive in any way. i.e if it contains insulting, racist, sexist language or pictures for example.
my brother has got a tattoo on the inside of his forearm and has held down an office job aswell as jobs in a large british supermarket and a well known restaurant chain.
