Work expierience in the morgue will give you the basic skill of making even the most messed up stiffs look good and is a much easier niche to initially break into, seriously employers will recognise this as a valueable skill and will be much more inclined to take you seriously as you would have demonstrated
so much dedicated determination in achieving your aspiration by starting at the beginning.

Hi
I know you would have to do a course to become a "qualified " make up artist but........
To get experience then start to look at modelling websites such as net model, one model place etc, if you know the basics you may be able to shadow a make up artist on a shoot and begin to learn new things, maybe even help out with ideas.
You may not get paid for it but if you help on shoots then you may get the shots to keep in your portfolio which most clients like to see. The experience you will gain will be fantastic and you will also build up a good rapport with different photographers & models that may be able to help you time and again amd you will get a fantastic portfolio that will help you on your course and also help you to get more shoots.
Once you get yourself out there and sell yourself you will find work will come in and you will get a good reputation.
Good Luck
xx
