How long should I wait?
4 Answers
I recently had an interview with Curry's, it went extremely well and the manager was explaining that all my info would be sent to head office and they would make the decision. He said he would have hired me immediately otherwise. I was told I would have to wait a week for the decision and two weeks later I havent heard a thing either by post or email. Now ordinarily I'd give it up as a bad lot and move on, but the job is still posted on the website and he did say i was the only person he'd interviewed that was any way suitable.
Could they still be interviewing? Or did he just say I was a perfect for the job to be nice.
Should I ring and ask or would that be bothering them (I've had this trouble in the past so I'm wary about trying again.)

I think it is very ill mannered of them simply to not bother to inform you, especially considering the time and effort it has taken you to turn up for the interview!
I would make that call and don't feel intimidated by them trying to tell you that you must wait for them to get in contact with you!

It is always unprofessional when an employer indicates you have been successful during the interview. I have been in the same situation and I called the employer to discover the lady who interviewed me was off sick. I think it is always worth calling to ask whether they have made a decision without being pushy. If you weren't successful, ask them for some feedback on why. Good luck!
