Has anybody taken advantage of the 14 day free trial offered by Ancestry.com? I am always a bit nervous signing up for these offers. Are there any hidden catches?
Thanks

I think that if you may have to give your credit card details and if you don't cancel it in time you'll be signed up for a year. Having said that I signed up last year and have had my monies worth out of it.
make sure u have the right site tho, ancestry.co.uk is for uk based research and u can upgrade to the us stuff on the .com site, at least that is how it was wih mine
No hidden catches but you must make sure you notify them in time before the 14 days run out or they will take the money from your credit card. It is well worth the money joining up though, I use it much more than any other site and if you use the pay-per-view sites it will cost you much more in the long run
Yeah I use the 99 a year option
and find it good value

I spent two hours on it earlier today

and so what if the Scrunt Futtock of Hampshire 1881 isnt yours, you havent paid to see it.

The forgetting the password algorithm is good
