I want to join the met police I have done for years now but they are never recruiting, ive looked around at other forces but they are also not recruiting.

I found out about a recruitment event and when i rang they told me that i was not able to go to it as it was only for ethnic minoritys.

Surley this is dicrimination against me i am a white healthy straight male wanting to do the job so why cant i? I have been told that this is called positive discrimination? but surley dicrimination of any sort is wrong?

look at the website 'could you' this has an up to date list of forces that are recruiting.
Try voluntering as a special, that can help you get in.

As to your original point, yes i do think it is discriminatory, but the force will say they need to refelct the ethnic mix of their area.
