I.T. Sales

My sister in law is currently looking for a new job and has signed up to various job websites. She is sent roles within I.T. Sales on a daily basis. Could anyone please explain what IT Sales involves, what would she be selling etc?

This could range form anything between Computer hardware and Software, she could be cold calling or provided with a database of clients/customers to contact about existing products. Most IT Sales jobs are commission based, so she would be on an average basic annual salary, and earn commission on any successful sales.

She would need to have a rough IT background, depends what the job specifies really, but if she goes for interviews she can ask about basic salaries, the % of commission she would earn etc. This could be a good money earner if she is good at Sales !!
