suspended from work

i have been suspended from work with full pay. i am being investigated for looking at adult explicit sites. This i have not done. Could i be sacked?

I monitor internet access and we have had a couple of people leave for regularly trying to visit adult sites. We make all our users sign an internet policy document though so they had broken their agreement.

If you haven't done anything though then you have nothing to fear, as someone from IT will probably go down the internet logs to see where you have been.

What happens then if a pop up comes up with an adult site when you've been on something innocent? Thats happened to me, but thankfully in my own home!

If found guilty, i assume that they could sack you solely on the strength of abusing the works computer.

If they charge you with gross misconduct, they will probably sack you.

What evidence do they have against you? and have other persons got access to the computer?

Have you got legal representation ie union rep or even taken advice from a legal representative?

A pop up would only create one entry in the internet proxy logs which would originate from another site rather than the user's computer. Someone actually visiting a site creates many entries in the logs and can be traced.

i clicked on something once that i did not think was adult explict and my blocker came up adult content and i think i was a link for underwear on avon??

Thanks to all who have answered. Apparently they have 109 bocks registerd on my pc but i have no idea how they got there.
