Want to make some extra dosh for a holiday. I work daytime, so was thinking of getting a friday night job packing shelves, stocktaking etc at tescos/saisnburys/waitrose etc. Anyone know APPROX what hourly rate it would pay? Also - as this would be a 2nd job how does that work tax wise?

i would guess at around 6+ an hour? dont know about tax
As you've got a day job already, all your tax allowances (=amount you can earn before paying any tax) will be used in that .So you'll have to pay 22% Basic rate tax (and Nat Insurance- not sure of %) on your Friday job. If at the end of the year, you've paid too much tax, taxman will sort it out and refund any overpayment.
