We have to wear a uniform for work and I have been told that if this is the case then you are allowed to leave the workplace about 3 minutes before your shift ends to get changed. Is this true?

I can't find a link anywhere about the UK rules only USA rules.

what if it takes you longer to get changed than 3 mins? or less time? whilst youre getting changed are you actually available to work?

I cant see it somehow, sorry :(

hi red, in my case I take at least 5 minutes (im hopeless with zips and buttons lol) and we wouldnt be available to work whilst getting changed cos its instant dismissal to be inside the workplace without uniform/safety gear on.

Yeah I cant see it being true either but theres a couple of folks say its right and I thought I would ask.

I should live in the us, i just found a link to somewhere that gives you a whole 10 minutes lol
