Do you qualify for holiday pay if you work part-time? If so, is there a minimum number of hours you have to work per week?

All workers, including part time, have a statutory right to 4 weeks paid holiday a year. There is no minimum number of hours, but of course each week of paid holiday will be equivalent only to the number of hours you work, so if you work 15 hours a week, you get 60 hours per year paid holiday. Incidentally, there is no statutory right to paid Public/Bank Holidays; so an employer can include those in the 4 weeks paid annual holidays. You have to have been working for your employer for 13 consecutive weeks. You may not be aware that your employer can also insist when you take your holidays if they wish & it can be single days or in a block. And they don't have to give you much notice - just twice the period of leave. Make sure you take your holidays too - if you don't your employer is not obliged to pay you anything in lieu (unless your employment is terminated). You can find the boring legislation here http://www.legislation.hmso.gov.uk/si/si1998/19981833.htm#13
