can work change my shift pattern?
1 Answers
I currently do 4 days on 4 days off and have done so for a year now, and work want to put me on the opposite 4 day shift, which I do not want. my contract just staated that i work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
they plan to do this next week i have heard. can they do this without my agreement? or without any notice?
i also have upcoming days book off for holiday and this would be ruined if i changed shifts and i would lose money from flights ive booked.
any help would be greatly appriciated!
thanks,
Lawerence

You are happy to shift over but not with virtually no notice because you have (very reasonably) planned your life around knowing when you are on / off shift.
The legal answer to how much notice that should be given to you is your statutory notice period - probably 4 weeks or one week per completed year of employment if more than 4 years.
