which college

there are two 6th form colleges i could go to and have a place in both but which should i go to, below are the pro's and cons of them both.

1) stay at the three local high schools for my first year then move to the new centre thats being built.

pro's, its nearer and easier to get to (won't have to pay for transport), i like all the chemistry and maths teachers so i'm guaranteed to get one i like and will well with. they get good results in the subjects i want to do,

con's i can't stand the geography teacher who i'll almost certainly have, it will be alot of faffing, moving to the new centre thats being built (i can't do both years at either because the three tier system is changing and they're geting rid of 6th forms which are presently in the high schools) and i could end up hating all of the teachers that i have at the newly built college. for my first year, i would probably have to be at all three high schools which envolves alot of traveling, possibly two differnt schools in one day.

2) go to a sixth form college thats between 5 and 10 miles away.

pro's, it gets good results, especially in the subjects i'm going to do, lots of my friends are going, i won't have to move to do my a2 year.

cons, its crowded and i'd have to pay for transport (around £200 a year), i know several people who went there and didn't like it so went to the three high schools sixth form, I won't know any of the teachers and i might hate them all.

it looks like 1 has more things against it but thats because it took longer to explain them.

so which should i chose, ps all the courses i want to do are ofered at both colleges.

I would go for option 2..........I don't think it's a good idea to be moving in your final year.............

hmmm . . . at least the two years are completely seperate from each other, so it isnt too bad doing it with a levels but if you did it with gcses you could end up missing bits from the syllabus or doing things twice.

plus with2) i'd have to get up about 20-30 minutes earlier than i do now and than what i'd have to get for the three high schools and the new college in a couple of years

and with 2) i'd spend nearly 2 hours a day travelling but i'd spend those hours getting extra sleep or doing homework at (1)

Plus the geography teacer might not be as bad in the sixth form, at the moment we have argumentitive and disruptiuve people in our lesson.

well it sounds as if you're talking yourself into option 1...........I never had this problem as way back in the 60's you did your A levels without changing schools........

people have been trying to talk me into 1) today and had things to add so that abers had all the information i have, so they might help me. I'm really indecisive.

the geography teacher is balanced out by the form tutor i will have.

there's two i could have, both are excellent but the one i'm most likely to have is my favourite, who iwas going to miss being taught by because i'm not doing his subject.
