First Passport

Writing on behalf of someone wanting a first passport and knowing there's a lot of other stuff, I understand that two references are required. Do these have to be top professional people or could it or they be someone like an assistant librarian?...not that there's anything wrong with being an assistant librarian! Ta Muchly.

there is a list of who can countersign a passport application, it will be in with the forms. it includes doctors, magistrates, established civil servants, etc.. it's quite a long list.

also, if it's a first passport for an adult, they will probably be called for a face to face interview.

Whoever countersigns it has to have an up-to-date passport.

The landlord is the only one who has ever signed my passport.

It's basically anyone who holds a license.

What a fantastic response and Great Thanks to All, especially jno for his/her time and effort...Many Thanks jno! Yes, Factor, Chuck is right, for some reason my screen reader will not activate links and the fact that the addresses have been compressed and therefore being unable to see the whole address is discriminatory towards visually-impaired people who cannot see the full address unless, of course, no-one can...which is even more illegal AB - if you don't condone the request for copying CDs on your site, then I suggest you do not practise discrimination or inequality!...but back to the praise for the ABers out there.
