Thankyou letter crisis!
13 Answers
I had a job interview today and I want to send a thankyou letter as I think it went well but they're interviewing LOADS of people so I'd like to do something to keep myself in their mind.
Trouble is, I was interviewed by two people and can only remember the name of one. The interview was all arranged with one woman anyway so I originally knew her name, and the other one was almost like a 'bonus' person I suppose - I didn't know she'd be there. She introduced herself to me, but I can't remember what she was called.
Is it OK to just send a letter addressed to the woman I remember the name of? I could always say something like "everyone I spoke to while at (INTERVIEW PLACE) was lovely" or something?
Help?
Thanks xx

Thank you letters are soemthing that make you stand out from the crowd and stop you being the gray-man. They will never hurt your chances and only help.

Iggy, I had an interview technique workshop on thursday, and the employment consulatnt running the course for the MOD has done thousands of interviews. She said it would never detract from an interview by sending one, so can really do no harm.
PS She gets paid more money if we get work, and if it's decent employment she gets a good reports as well so it's in her interests not to fob us off

I'd have to agree with most people herre and say it's not something I would do, however in light of some other comments I suppose it depends on the company.
I deal with the recruitment in my place of work and if we received a thank you letter it would in no way be taken notice of due to the fair recruitment policy.
