Doing an access project and cant use the first tense "I did ...." "I think...." have to use the word researcher. but every paragraph starts with "the researcher....." and it sounds monotonous. As im not very good at english and dont know how to rephrase it differently....any brainboxes on here? posted on this section cos its a popular one and thanks in anticipation

perhaps instead of starting with 'the researcher' all the time, you could say/write

later, the researcher or,

another time, whilst researching (the project)

During research, it was found that

when looking for (whatever) it was found that.....

certain works show........others .........

I hope this helps you!!!!

I've had to do this loads in assignments for uni so may be able to help; give some examples of the sentences and I'll have a go at rewording them for you.

The researcher spent quite some time choosing the health area that was going to be explored and used for her access project. After some general research into the four areas of interest it was decided that over the counter medicines would be the most favourable one to use. The topic itself has many avenues that can be explored.
The researcher has no immediate plans to repeat the questionnaire but if she were to repeat it she would structure a survey that had qualitative questions that would encourage the recipient to express themselves in more detail. It would also be given out to more recipients. Ideally at least one hundred recipients and maybe to male and female to see if there is a difference. thanks sophie

Ooh no, the longest assignment we've had is 2500, had a lot of them though! Think they go up to the 3000 mark next year, along with the dissertation at 7000 words! I'm doing teaching and the assignments are the worst bit, going on school placements is brilliant though!
