I greet you with a final “Good Morning” to all you AB Linkers in my alter ego “The Lady Ursula”, as I begin to get ready to slip back into my every-day role as owllady. As you will see, my life was about to come full circle. After leaving Norway, we moved back to Scotland and “the Kingdom of Fife” as the locals proudly refer to it. It struck me that the surrounding county was very similar to Lincolnshire with a strong farming tradition

At that time, there was also a large fishing community, although I think this has declined a great deal. There were some picturesque little fishing villages, where we could watch the fishing boats entering harbour and landing their catch. We would buy truly fresh fish direct from the quayside. For our holidays, we would travel north to the Highlands to enjoy the spectacular scenery with its countless mountains and lochs. Try as we may, we never did see Nessie though! All in all, I enjoyed my time connected to the RAF, which was responsible for my being bitten by the travel bug. Unfortunately, my marriage broke down, so I moved back south to the area I knew and loved.

I returned to the market town of Sleaford, which is where I had begun my schooling. It is a small town with a weekly market and two large supermarkets which dominate the local economy. There is a number of small shops, but unfortunately many are sitting empty – this is a common enough story of many little towns struggling the sustain local small producers. I settled once again and remarried and I continued to travel to Europe and Australia on holidays with my new husband -- so the travel bug never left me. Unfortunately, I was widowed three years ago and now live on my own, but still travel when I can.

I hope you have enjoyed this little ramble through parts of my life. To be honest, I have enjoyed writing it for you, as it brought back some happy memories. Needless to say, for the every-day running of MM, I shall follow the generally accepted rule on word length as introduced by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter and declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past and nominate my successor.

My final set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
Are we going fishing today...or travelling?
or hiking in the highlands ??
Definitely the travel-bug I would say Pauline
Lady Ursula, I see we have had very similar thoughts on the KM links, so perhaps my mind will be in tune with yours this morning - or then again, perhaps not!
