Week in Hand

I worked part time for a cleaning company and the contract came to an end on a tuesday. I was on holiday that week and the new company that took over honoured my holiday for the rest of the week.
I was off sick for nine weeks and when I started back on a Monday I wasnt paid on the 1sr Friday, but the 2nd Friday just one weeks pay. My final pay was for just two days of the holiday the week I was taken over by the other company. Should I still get the first weeks pay as well?
