web cam help please!

afternoon all,
heres really hoping someone might be able to help with this little un please?

i plug my webcam in (logitech pro4000) to my laptop,
and i open the software where you can 'choose application', 'change setttings' and 'quick capture'
i choose 'quick capture' where there are two options - 1) 'take a photo' and 2) 'record video'.

the 'take a photo' works ok,
but the 'record video' isnt highlighted anymore, its greyed out now, and im unable to click on it.
it was ok a few weeks ago.

ive tried reinstalling the software again, but its still the same.
is there something im missing please?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling again, but this time use the clean boot' process:
