I want to describe to someone my level of skill in a subject...i am not a beginner or an expert, but somewhere in the middle.
it is not something with exams etc so there is no obvious 'level'

thanks

Well, I would not give your spelling a very high rating! What is a "meduim" when it is at home? Hope this job is not in proof reading, but wish you luck all the same.
