I would make a list; good points vs bad points for each.

So far I haven't been to any of them properly so there is no bad points - apart from APPARENTLY the accommodation at the Cambridge campus of Anglia Ruskin is aweful to get a room at . . .
Perhaps you would be better advised to write out a list of YOUR requirements, do some in-depth research on each and finding out how each one measures up ?
The Guardian do a good uni guide, there are many other guides out there that will rate accommodation, courses, student diversity, night life etc. If you are due to get top grades, you may as well go to the uni that has the strictest entry requirements as this usually means the degree is valued more.

JTT I'm going to go to all of them in the summer, at least the new course i found is already at a uni i'm going to look at . . .

About that pippin . . .

On my excel spread sheet I've put down the unis guardian rankings for; geography and environmental science, biosciences and earth & marine science. It's interesting to see their rankings . . .
Question Author
from looking at them all, ecology at UEA is the best . . .
Also put on your sheet the minimum requirements that each want for student entry, molly, then you will know what grades you are aiming for. Some may accept lower passes than others, it doesn't mean that their programmes are less worthy.

See also if you can find out which unis are the most popular, your chances of getting into those may be reduced if hundreds apply for that course, whereas a less popular uni (perhaps not so central) might have less applicants.
Well, seeing as this is only March perhaps you could postpone updating us until you have actually greater information ?
I know what you mean, but I clicked on this one to see what "Unarrowed" meant....

I have boxy on my spread sheet is the uni, the course, Bsc/Msc, year abroad?, grades/points from alevel, A2s I need, open days and guardian rankings . . .
Question Author
should it be unnarrowed?
No, it should just be Narrowed!
Not sure why you asked about the best approach to narrowing down when you've already got it all on the spreadsheet? Also not sure why you never thank people for their replies on any of your threads.
Question Author
boxy, but by introducing more possible courses that's un-narrowing it down isn't it . . .
OK yes, you are not yet at the stage of narrowing - in which case what you really should be saying is "Widening my Choice" - you can't unnarrow, there is no such word!
Then you mean widened. You have asked about this lots before - decide the course you want and then the location. This really is one you have to do on your own.
Question Author
pippin, I rarely get definitive answers that are of any use to me that's why . . .
You mention that the accommodation at Cambridge is awful - have any of your tutors indicated that you should be aiming for Oxbridge universities?
Good point sherrard, Oxbridge is far more difficult to get into generally, you need spiffing results almost guaranteed to get on thier shortlists.
