ex wants my house

i own a property that is in solely my name and my ex is living in the house.
i want to sell the house but she wants it but wants me to hand it to her (but i want her to get a mortgage and buy it off me).
what can i do to get her out without incurring stupid amounts of legal fees??

I think you may need to incur the legal fees. Under what terms is she occupying the property, is she your tenant?

When my ex and I split, he bought me out - that's the best way to do it.
I have no legal training but think you may need to establish if she has any claim to the property. If she doesn't then it would depend on the terms of her occupancy as to what you are required to do to remove her from that property. Forking out for initial advice from qualified professionals is very much cheaper than losing the property. There are, I believe, qualified legal eagles on this site who will give you better advice than me though.
I'm no expert, but if you have kids living with her she may claim to courts its her home-does she have rent book or regular bank deposits for rent?
You will need legal advice wilkesneil and you could start with the CAB. Is there still a mortgage on the property? if so whose name is it in? Do you collect rent? do you have any children living in the property? these and many other questions will need to be answered
