I am aware of the DIY kits but some comments on-line seem to suggest they are designed for English law.

The law in Scotland has many differences except taxation by HMRC; the law relating to land is quite different and uses very unfamiliar words. I would not use a DIY will pack in either England or Scotland as you could be setting up the most awful problems and definitely do not try to write your own will.
HK would not use this, too many loopholes in law. Best go through a Solicitor - preferrably when they are doing them free and the fee goes to charity.
