it's alright if you want 3 of something, or were going to buy 2 anyway, I prefer Buy One Get One Free.

Great marketing idea!  Absolute genius!  Customer spends more than planned, but walks away thinking THEY'RE the winner.  Everyone's happy!  Job done!  A slice of choccy cake to the person who thought it up I say!
I think they should cut the prices rather than have these offers all the time.I do take advantage of buy one get one free if it's something I use regularly.Alright for people with big families but for people on a limited income it's no big deal. It's just a way to get people to part with more money than they really need to.

It depends what the item is.  If is it for instance shampoo, it won't go out of date and you know it will get used at some point then I say buy it.

On the other hand, if it is something with a limited shelf life or something you are only buying because it is on offer and you wouldn't normally buy it, then don't bother - you probably won't use it and it will get chucked away / wasted.

If it's something I use often I am more than happy to purchase and pop it in my provisions cupboard back at the ranch.  However, if it isn't then generally I don't bother and just buy the one!

Never usually bother with buy 2 get 1 free, but love buy 1 get 1 free or 50% extra free. If I went to a supermarket now and there weren't all these offers on, I'd be really bored. I feel good when I've got a 'bargain' and I actively look for them. Of course, if the offer's on something I don't like very much, then I don't buy it anyway.

Are you doing the research for anything in particular, shazzabell, or just out of interest? What do you think of the offers?
