good headline, however going into receivership isn't of course.
I can't say i like this building, or any of the ugly boxes they have installed around the area, wonder what will happen to it.

i don't care for it, or the Shard, and the endless glass boxes that are pervading the area. I hated the Lloyds building when it went up, it didn't seem to fit in with anything in the surrounds.

I quite like the Gherkin now. Dont like the Shard or that walkie talkie building.

It has only gone into receivership because the Germans refused a deal with its co-owner. No doubt the private equity firm will negotiate with Deloitte's.

No sure I would class it as a skyscraper though.

ugly beast, still they can't pull it down, as to the mobile phone building, that is so very bad.

Is it not just a case of "familiarity breeds contentment"? I'm sure similar comments were made when st Paul's cathedral was built.

many hated St Pauls, and Wrens design wasn't what he planned at all.
and no i don;t see any merit now or in the future to glass boxes, tall towers don't do it for me, i like classical architecture, Georgian, Edwardian even, this endless proliferation of glass towers is killing what was once a beautiful skyline from Westminster downwards - I loved NY but hated downtown Wall Street, it was so dark and gloomy down on the side walks

the one that i hated soon as it went up, reminded me of the Georges Pompidou centre in Paris, looks like an upside down oil rig

someone will take it over i am sure, i loved the walks around the city, now its become dark and forbidding, many of the lovely churches and fine buildings have been dwarfed by these towers.
