The Pope is touring Britain in the Popemobile, driving up Roker seafront when he spots two Mackems on the beach. One is dragging a Geordie out of the mouth of a Shark, while the other is beating the Shark with a Baseball Bat. He orders his Driver to stop and makes his way to the edge of the water. He says "Gentlemen, I witnessed your kind act from the Road. I know a little of the rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland fans, and it's wonderful to see that you can put this aside and help a fellow Human being in distress." After he leaves the two Mackems look at each other in bewilderment. "Who the *** was that?" says one. The other replies "Whoever it was he doesn't know the first thing about Shark Fishing. Anyway, get the bait ready and throw it back in!"
