Most of you will have probably seen this before, but true nevertheless.
Put the elderly in prison:
We should place the elderly in prison because
They will get a shower every day
Video surveillance in case of problems
3 meals a day; access to a library
Computers, TV, gym, doctors on-site
and free medication if needed
Put criminals in care homes and they'll get
Cold meals; lights out at 7 pm
Two showers per week; live in a smaller room
and pay rent at £2,000 per month
It's pretty sad that we treat prisoners better than our elderly.

FGS I get sick of seeing posts like this...
For most of my prison time, I have no pillow (had to make one up with clothing stuffed into a pillow case)
A plug for something simple as a shave often had to be wet toilet paper.
A shower everyday?
Are you kidding????
Was lucky enough once a fortnight...
Had to strip wash (in front of someone else) as well as deficating, urinating, and any other 'thing' that you can imagine.
Yep there was a gym (once a week)
There were 3 meals everyday...if you dont mind chips everyday that is,
access to a library...most inmates couldnt even read. I read loads.
Maggibee. get your facts straight first, trust me, prison is no holiday camp. Its a horrendous experience.
If ever I were to experience prison again, I would have no doubt that I would hang Myself,
One prison that I was in had 3 suicdes in 3 months...and that was an easy jail.....and not longer than I was let out.
Ill try to find a link.

//Either stop whinging about true stuff on Facebook or stop breaking the law, nailit.
Sorted!//
Or rather its NOT sorted though is it?
Because this myth remains that prison is a holiday camp and it really isnt,
Its nasty and brutal and degrading.
And its nasty, brutal and degrading to people who really shouldnt be there (not me)
I was locked away with people who had OBVIOUS learning difficulties..obvious to all but the judge who put them away that is..
Not everyone in prison is a flaming mass murderer...
But I give up....

I believe about 50,000 care home residents have died of Covid, compared with 100-odd in jail. (Both very rough figures.) I don't know how this stacks up against actual numbers of people in both institutions. But it may be that if you had to choose (which God forbid), you might be safer from Covid in jail. This is an uncomfortable thought.
