He should.  Even without this the man isn't fit for office.

He may come the next shuffle; if he has any sense. Foreign Secretaries need diplomacy skills as well as being able to see decent strategies and manage them.

Don't want the risk of foreign leaders being told that they must pay reparations to the descendents of his ancestors because their ancestors were around at the same time the world accepted slavery and the UK hadn't changed everyone's mind about it.

Surely the UK cannot work with a  foreign  convicted felon?

What do you suggest the UK should do, DDIL?

I have absolutely no idea Naomi, I don't pretend to be a politician or clever.

// Surely the UK cannot work with a  foreign  convicted felon? //

Donald Trump will be head of state of the USA come 20th January. to refuse to work with him is to refuse to work with the country he represents at the highest letter.

the man may be disliked, but that's just the way it is. or are you suggesting the UK break off diplomatic relations?

Right ....

But I can spell foreign unlike the OP!

Are you suggesting that Lammy should be sacked because he has said things in public about Trump?

Picking up on typos is poor form and petty - but that aside if you're asking me, DDIL, I would expect someone representing this country on the world stage to possess at least a modicum of diplomacy.  Mr Lammy fails miserably.

Errr how many blunders did Boris make when representing the UK in all of his roles?

As for being petty, I am just pointing out the OP's errors as he is so keen to point out everyone else's failings.

Actually Boris was very well respected abroad - but this isn't about Boris.

A smart, nay, very smart move by SKS would be to invite Farage to replace Lammy. Would it not?

Shutting down debate Naomi?

Right oh!

Why on earth would you think I'm doing that, DDIL?  This debate isn't about Boris - that's all.

ken, you've got your comedian's hat on.  Great idea!

09:42 oh the naivety! We've worked with worse. He's the choice of the American people if they overlooked his contrived "crimes" then we are obliged to also.  The fact is that diplomacy requires that stains be ignored for the greater good. It doesn't matter if the US elects Hannibal Lecter the rest of the world has no choice but to work with it.

Naomi @ 10:06, "ken, youve got your comedian's hat on. Great idea!"

I'd just read a statement Farage made on GB News yesterday, Naomi. He said that the UK Government and the Republicans have huge differences that need to be resolved.

"In areas like intelligence, defence, trade and investment, it is an essential national interest that we resolve them."

"If i can help in any way at all, i will do. It's in the national interest, and that's the point."

Sounds to me like he's making his pitch, Naomi 😉

Or how about getting the SNP involved,Trump is a part Scottish nationalist, the SNP are Scottish nationalists.Surely they could arrange something.

Ken, now you mention it, I saw that too - and I laughed.  What a wag!  :o)))
