Not really sure where to put this question, but here goes. My employer is currently starting a 'mystery shopper' program, where we are being tested on our customer service, when the results are announced it is being done so in our rest / canteen room in the form of a poster - naming the 'person' who the mystery shopper has dealt with - good or bad, surely my employer is not alowed to do this as this is some kind of victimization of the person in question, good or bad.
I would be grateful for your thoughts and opinions...

I don't know if it is 'allowed' but up until a couple of years ago, I worked for a high street Bank. They always said who it was that had 'failed' the mystery shopper test.

Surely it is better to know that it was you rather than carry on thinking you are doing the right thing. As for in the staff room, who cares, everyone will get named in there eventually, no-one is perfect.
at my wifes store, they do it all the time.why shouldent they name and shame, are you not that good at your job that your worried about it.
No they can't.
Amicus, my union, will tell you it's tantamount to bullying and that an individual can't be named in that way.
It needs to be taken up with a union rep's support and the management need to be put straight on this one.
I worked for Asda who are sh*t hot on the law and they did this, name and shamed. Only the first name mind, so if there were 10 Dianes it could be any one of them.
Im not sure if it legal but if the last company i worked for did that they would be fighting to get on the poster to be the worse employer just to show they dont bum lick
