How much am i entitled to?
2 Answers
My husband is having an affair with his boss and he has left me for her (although he vehemently denies this even though they have been seen intimate together on more than one occassion)
Presently he is paying for the mortgage and household bills on the marital home (he wants the house kept as an investment for our son) , but i dont know how long this will continue for. My solicitor says its feasible whilst we are separated but after divorce all joint debts must be cleared.
So, whilst at the moment i am happy to take every penny of the cheating scumbag that I can., I am worried about the longer term.. Everytime we have arguement he threatens to withdraw funding and i am fed up walking on eggshells.
Basically I want to know if i sold this house and bought something cheaper (i have enough equity to buy something smaller outright) am i only entitled to maintenance for our young son, or am entitled to spousal support as well. Longer term, after divorce am I entitled to any percentage of future earnings, like they are in America.
My husband has a good job with an excellent salary, whilst I work part time to enable me to spend quality time with our son.
