pet insurance

Has anybody had any experience with pet -insurance.co.uk part of Equine & Livestock Insurance. My dog recently went into heart failure and had to have treatment. Furthermore, he requires on going medication costing �200 per month from the vets. However, the insurance Company is taking forever to deal with my claim. They have been supplied with all the requested information. Is there a reasonable time limit that they have to deal with claims? We are currently paying for all treatment etc which has cost �2,500 to date and costing a further �200 a month. If we could not afford to pay this then our dog would pass away. Are the insurance company allowed to drag there heals?
