I'm just wading through the task of filling in the Indian Tourist Visa application form which is generally quite straight forward. There is a section where they ask for two referees in the uk and two in India. This is my first vist to India and I have no contacts there. Should I leave this section blank? Any ideas please?

for one Indian ref you can put the name of the first hotel you will be staying at, even it you are touring and only staying one night,
You might want to put -- first visit as a tourist in the other-- or the name of another hotel, where are you going in India ?
this is why, since the rules have changed it might be easier to use an agency.
